A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE SCHOOL

I didn’t know it at first either, but there are several universities in town. My school was the UPV / Universitat Politècnica de València. It was very surprising to me that the University of Valencia is across the street from it. The campus of the university is as huge as Pécs if all the faculties were in one place. In addition to the classrooms, there are a number of other services and other facilities available on campus. We had opportunity to eat in canteens and cafes. I often ate for breakfast ,,tostada con tomate" and ordered a coffee as well as freshly squeezed orange juice from local fruits. Fast food didn’t really taste good to me. Of course, there are also sports opportunities and not just for that students, who chosed sport specialization. Additional stores are also available just like pharmacy, bookstore, paper store, printer. Moreover, there is a craft and local fair held every thursday where locals bring their goods. There is a free tasting of the products and a gift package will be raffled off at the end of the day. The campus looks like a park, where appear some buildings beetwen the vegetation. The layout is almost represent as if buildings were swimming in a park with many other ornaments and statues, which were placed in the area. For me, the layout of the buildings seemed pretty chaotic at first and it certainly took me a while to get to know them. Many times we approached the classrooms from the outside because some of them has two entrances. Another very positive experience about the campus is that it provides an entire hall for students who want to study together at the school, which is also open on weekends. These include vending machines, microwaves, and power supplies for laptops.
