Luckily we saw a trip to Peniscola was being advertised and since we weren't able to get there in the past, we now had a chance to do it.
As we got to Vilafamés, we could see the town up there, on a
hill. Vilafamés stands out for its old town. Walking through this narrow and
zigzagging streets, with corners it amazes us. The castle on top and the small
church at feet gives a very nice sight tougether. We were also captivated by
the scale of the town, which is based on manageability and modesty. After a
short sunbathing and a pleasant walk we went to Peniscola.
Imagine, here one of the episodes of Game of Thrones was filmed behind the
castle walls. (I only say this to those who are also big fans.) After visiting
the castle, we also tried to tour the city for the rest of our time and had
another coffee before the returning home.
